We're all going on a.....

Summer Holiday!! Yay, can't believe the time has flown so quickly, and we are off on our Hols to Wales in the morning.

We have looked at a few pictures of our nearest beach on the www, and frankly it looks gorgeous! By our reckoning, we can walk there too, so if we can manage to carry everything down there, we won't have to pay to park: always a bonus!

'If' , you say? Well, you see, never has a family of four taken quite so much to the beach: I kid you not. 4 towels, 4 swimsuits (assorted sizes), 4 wetsuits (sea in Wales can be a tad chilly!), buckets and spades, inflatable rubber ducky things (2), lunch, snacks, beach tent, suncream, camera, a couple of books. Oh and a large inflatable dinghy, 2 oars, a huge great kayak, buoyancy aid and paddle!!!!! Last year we nearly filled the car just going down for the afternoon! Plan B is to drive it all down to the car park, unload, and then Phil will drive back up to the campsite to park the car!

So, early to bed tonight, up at 5am, off before the traffic really gets going, and hopefully all set up by early afternoon. In reality that will mean we are up until at least midnight, up again at 5.30, and completely cream crackered to the point of incoherency by about 7pm tomorrow. Mind you, still beats sitting in an airport.

Oh, and as a completely weird addition to our usual routine, we are coming home for the middle weekend to attend a Wedding! We had already booked the campsite before we were invited, and couldn't change the dates. Since yours truly has made the lovely invitations and truly fabulous Order of Service (compete with delicate 3D butterflies), there was no way we were going to miss it. There is also the small matter of a chocolate fountain at the Reception, need I say more?

The other advantage of coming home in the middle, is that I can get some washing done, and upload the contents of my camera's memory cards. You would think that 400 photos is enough for a 2 week holiday? No. Nowhere near. Oh, and if you are very good, I'll even upload a pic or two to my Blog that weekend.
