Well, it's Thursday, and I'm still grinnning!!
Elton John was absolutely brilliant. We had fantastic seats, and it was a warm summers evening just perfect for listening to live music outdoors! Our lovely friends took the girls to their house overnight, so we had a whole evening together, out, with no worries about getting home for the babysitters: bliss. What price that freedom eh?
Elton started with 'Benny and the Jets', and then played pretty much every one of my favourite songs: Philadelphia Freedom, Daniel, I'm Still Standing, and loads more. He was on stage for 2 1/4 hours, and boy can he really belt them out! . Actually, between you and I, I was quite overcome with emotion: the realisation that I was listening to what has formed the background soundtrack to my entire life to date, live, right in front of me brought a tear to my eye (thank goodness for those sunglasses I was wearing!).
Not a night to be forgotten in a hurry, that's for sure!
The scrapbook layout should be interesting too: a couple of rubbish photos taken with my camera phone (yes, I was the ONLY person in the entire stadium who actually bothered to read the 'no cameras' notice, what a wally!), and probably the most emotional journalling that I will have attempted to date. Oh, and some rather fabulous tickets. Watch this space!

It's all Chrissie's fault!
Aha, a learning curve indeed: I have worked out (albeit by accident and a bit of button pushing) how to link to another Blog. Life Is Scrap is Chrissie's Blog, and so if I am boring the pants off you, you can blame her ;) (Or just go and read hers instead, it's way more interesting!).
Why am I here?.....
No, I don't mean I am pondering my very existence: merely wondering how I of all people ended up with a Blog.
It's all Chrissie's fault really. She has an interesting blog, full of witty observations, gorgeous pictures, and the most brilliant scrapbook layouts. I stop by every now and then to oooh and aah at her creativity, and today thought I would post a comment. Wrong! You need to be a bona fide Blogger to post comments, so you do.
So, here I am. And, can I remember what little gem I was planning to post on Chrissie's blog in the first place?? Nope, not a flipping clue.
Honestly, you just can't get the staff.
